Our First 'overseas' gig is approaching fast and we have a few more details for ya. Its in Dublin at Temple Bar Music Centre on Saturday 27th November. So INVASION made it to 85 in the national charts. It may not sound it but...Y'know thats really pretty damn good! There were lots of bands signed to major labels below us, and we got to 15 in the Rock charts on Radio 1's site...so thanks to everyone who bought a copy!! Keep spreading the word....its still out there and available to order from the links opposite!! Also...thanks to y'all who showed up for the gig and signing session at Leeds HMV. We were blown away by the turn out and the gig went down a storm. I think we sold over 100 copies at that gig alone!!

Couple of things for y'all hot off the press....Malibu Stacey will be appearing at the HMV store on Leeds Headrow on Monday 11th October to celebrate the release of our debut single INVASION. We'll be playing a half hour set and signing stuff so make a note in yer diary and get on down. We will be onstage at 5.30pm after the store closes, so that gives chance for people to finish work / school etc. Rock n Roll and shopping combined ...yeeeaaahhhh!!!
Before all that, Leigh will be appearing on Never Mind The Buzzcocks on BBC2 this coming Monday, 27th September so tune in or set your videos and watch him make a tit of himself in front of the whole nation!! He was on Bill Baileys team and the result was good...(little clue there).
Finally....a big thanks to everyone who showed up for our Manchester 'In the City' gig. I think you'll agree We Came, We Rocked, We Conquered!!!

MALIBU STACEY RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE 'INVASION' ON MONDAY OCTOBER 11TH THRU TOWNSEND - UNIVERSAL!! ALSO APPEARING LIVE AT MANCHESTER IN THE CITY EVENT ON SUNDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER AT THE DRY BAR, OLDHAM STREET AT 10PM.
It's 91 gigs since March last year and the 92nd promises to be something a bit special. We've been invited to play at Industry Showcase event 'In the City' in Manchester on Sunday 19th September, so get yerselves down and give us a shout! There's bands on all day, we're on at about 10pm. Check out the web link opposite for all the up to date details!! We haven't played since Burnley in August so we'll be raring to Rock n Fucking Roll!!
After that we have the release of our first ever single, the barn storming opening track from 'On Heat', INVASION. Summertime... and the living is easy... Man, these Stacey gigs are just getting hotter by the minute!! Our appearance at the Wakefield festival went down a storm... even provoking some wonderfully wordy reviews within the pages of our message board as well as the local press. After that we took a short break then blasted back with our best gig yet at Leeds Cockpit... due in no small part to 3 top notch support bands, a sweaty and heaving venue and a sound to make yer ears bleed!!!! Following on from that, a short trip down south (our first in a while) saw even wilder scenes of rock n roll excess, including some Kkkkrrraaazzzeeee audience participation in Swindon and a lunchtime blow-out at the Bulldog bash, which etched our name into the brains of more than a few hardcore bikers. Nice work...
This week sees our last stint of gigs for a while so get yerselves down and witness the Stacey at the very peak of power!!!
Some news just in... we have been added to the very prestigious Music Industry showcase event IN THE CITY that takes place in Manchester in September. It would be most excellent if tons of you guys and girls could get to that one and swell the audience of A&R bods and prove to them what a hot ticket they have been missing out on!!! Ya never know what could come from that!!!! Tickets are only £3 on the door and the gig starts at 2pm on Sunday 19th September at the Dry Bar on Oldham Street. We're on at 10.30pm... get there for then!!!
Just after the gig we will be releasing our first ever single, INVASION on October 4th. It will be backed up with a couple of b sides and also the video clip for INVASION. It'll retail at £1.99 and will be availalble to pre-order from this site and other retailers. Lets sell as many as we can in the first week and we may even get the thing in the top 75!!!!! Yo, Yo, Yo....how the hell y'all doing? ON HEAT has been out nearly a week now. We celebrated with some great gigs last week.... Big Thanks to everyone who showed up, 'specially for the London 'album launch' at Metro. I hope no one got too wet at the BEACHED festival in Scarborough....seemed kinda strange to put the audience where the sea wanted to be!! At least the pissing rain stopped when we came on stage....ah yes...the God-Like Power of Heavy Metal Rock n Roll!!! So...got even more gigs coming up real soon, including our first visit to the Rock n Roll capital of the world....Chapel St. Leonards!!! Move over Detroit, London, New York and LA, a new kid is in town!! After that we head up to Wakefield for their annual shindig in the Park (we're on about 4pm). I tell you, who needs Glastonbury and Reading????
After a little break for breath, we're back out in August, starting with a MONSTER gig at Leeds Cockpit, where we will be ably supported by Menbrain, 3 Miles High and the Hard rocking, Harder drinking and sharp shootin' BLUNDERBUSS, who feature our old mates Yatesy from TV, Andy from Leafeater and Danny (from every band in Bradford and occassional Stacey Roadie), not forgettin' the Legendary Sasquatch Bob on bass!! Should be a night to remember so get yer tickets soon off one of the bands or from the usual outlets. Lets hope we sober up in time for the Bulldog Bash!!
Coupla last tings....if you see the video for INVASION pop up on Scuzz, MTV, Amp, Kerrang etc. don't forget to vote and spread the word....it's a real chance for us to get known around the UK and further afield. And finally, ladies and gentlemen....take a look at the SHOP section. You can now get yer mitts on a bunch of official Stacey stuff from Townsend Records like Badges, beanies, wristbands, pins and t shirts. Tres cool, tres cool!!!

Hey....it's officially the start of the summer and the start of Malibu Staceys busiest, craziest period to date. And to celebrate our imminent album release we have an all new website to feast your eyes on. So...a big thanks to Al for all his hard work on giving us a fresh coat of black paint and extra features for you to marvel at. Over the next few weeks all the sections will be brought bang up to date so you can keep track on what is happening in StaceyWorld.
The album will now be released on Monday July 12th. We'll be celebrating with a launch night on Tuesday 13th July at London club Metro, where we'll be playing a set and showing the video and other stuff. Details of how to get hold of tickets for this via the Metro website. Put the date in yer diaries and tell all your friends!!! Before that we hope to have our first ever video plastered across the nations music video channels. We are currently putting the finishing touches to our clip for the opening track of the album INVASION. It promises to be as in your face as the song itself. Watch this space for more news!!
